If we don't speak up now, this will only continue - even seep into other aspects. Why wasn't any woman journalist present in the meeting? Did they request it? Did Indians 'self censor'?

What is even more ridiculous is that the Taliban FM is allowed to bring their abhorrent and illegal discrimination against women to India, as the government hosts the Taliban delegation with full official protocol. This isn't pragmatism, this is supplication.

Worth noting that in the post COVID era, #SriLanka, #Bangladesh and #Nepal have had anti-corruption protests. The premiers of all three countries resigned after the protests. Lots happening in South Asia. Question is, where does India stand in all this?

What is happening in #Nepal is not because they blocked social media, these are anti-corruption protests primarily.

Why should I use @bookingcom if I cannot speak to the customer care executive? Why pay booking fees if you cannot help when needed?

In India, you don’t need to cross a border to feel like a foreigner. Just speak Hindi in the South or Maharashtra.

If you are frustrated by ALL the roads in #Mumbai having been dug up or #Bangalore being flooded after just a couple of days of pre monsoon showers, you have no one to complain to. No municipal elections have been held. #justsaying

Trump should have let India make the announcement. While successive US Presidents have 'mediated', it has been India's official stand that Kashmir issue is bilateral.

India contradicts Rubio, saying the cease-fire was worked out directly between India and Pakistan, and that there had been no decision to hold talks on any other issue at any location.

So, Asim Munir has no control over non-state actors? Shahbaz Sharif has no control over the army? Imran Khan is in jail. So, who is actually in power in #Pakistan? Who is making decisions?

Lot will be said, written on this. Just want to emphasise two basic truths: 1. GoI had unconditional, absolute political support from across the spectrum. There was no political oneupmanship anywhere. 2. GoI was absolutely free to take whatever calls it needed to take.
