I’m the grown up version of the kids lifted up in this report from “low income or less educated families.” Those meaningful summer youth employment opps (that paid!), WBL on-ramps+internships+volunteer opps+a college education made a difference. @ChildTrends @BrookingsInst
Most young adults are employed. But only 38% of young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds have a high-quality job (based on wages, benefits, hours, and job satisfaction) compared to those from non-disadvantaged backgrounds. @BrookingsInst
