The One Stop Shop Community Reentry Program Act that I introduced last year will help create resource centers supporting people transitioning out of incarceration by providing access to employment and housing services. Thank you to my colleagues for your support.

All too often, folks who have served their time are released from jail with no where to go and no resources to access. That often leads to homelessness — not just in L.A. but nationwide. It’s a cycle we must work to break and today, Congress took a big step in that direction.
