The dream that brought millions to California for a better life is increasingly out of reach. We won’t restore California’s promise by looking to the past. We need a bold vision for the future. That’s why I’m running to be California’s next Lieutenant Governor.

California is home to some of the nation’s busiest airports, but the government shutdown is grounding flights and leaving control towers unmanned. Californians deserve leadership that delivers efficiency, not delays and dysfunction. https://t.co/fvLennWf0e

The delays came just hours after the transportation secretary warned that flying could be disrupted by the government shutdown.

Ismael Ayala-Uribe died at this ICE detention center in Adelanto. What ICE is doing has real life or death consequences and it is absolutely unacceptable.

From the Monterey Bay Aquarium to LA’s theme parks, my best childhood memories were made exploring California. Every kid deserves those opportunities, but it starts with parents being able to afford basics like groceries and gas. That's why I'm running for Lieutenant Governor.

San Diego is leading the state in affordable housing construction. With nearly 9,000 new homes permitted this year, the city is experiencing its greatest housing surge in 20 years. It's time to scale this progress statewide to combat the housing crisis. https://t.co/m4ik8bLOvL

Being Latino is not probable cause. Yet Trump’s crackdown has led to U.S. citizens being detained & treated like criminals in their own country. This should alarm all of us. When citizens are denied rights, our democracy and our safety is at risk. https://t.co/slIa9hCacz

Health care is powering nearly half of America’s job growth this year. But Trump’s immigration crackdowns & Medicaid cuts threaten to stall that progress, hurting workers, patients, and families. Cutting care isn’t just bad policy. It’s bad economics. https://t.co/OgAWst7Vas

I just signed legislation allowing the 800,000 rideshare workers in California to unionize. California is determined to give working people a voice, to give them choice, give them dignity, and give them a say about their future.

A government shutdown isn’t just political theater. It hurts people. For Californians, it means 150,000 federal workers without paychecks, stalled wildfire recovery efforts, and national parks left unprotected, exposed to trash and vandalism.

The federal government is now shutdown. And this will affect Californians. But that doesn't make us powerless. With Prop 50 on the ballot in November, we can make a big difference.

From rent to groceries to electricity, basic necessities have become unaffordable. This crisis demands more than talk. It demands policy that centers people, not profits. We need bold action to bring down costs and put working people first. https://t.co/1w6z7vXTos

CA’s $414M investment in affordable homes is a huge step forward, especially for low-income families hit hardest by the housing crisis. Let’s keep this momentum going and commit to building a California where everyone can afford to call this state home. https://t.co/xZ1p5TVSM1

Trump’s cuts to mental health funding in schools could devastate CA’s rural communities, slash essential staff, and jeopardize students well-being. If we’re serious about building a better future, we must invest in those who will shape it. https://t.co/KpO7Auczz2

A federal judge just blocked Trump’s $500M attack on UC research funding. This is a big win for CA’s universities, and a clear message to Trump: you can’t bully us out of our values or our future. We must lead in research, equity, and innovation. Period. https://t.co/KxWFYbu0vJ

I’ve dedicated my career to tackling the issues facing young men in our state. As mayor of Stockton, we implemented several programs focused on helping young men that have now scaled statewide. The results are clear: an investment in our young people is not a wasted one.
