Our 6th and final featured speaker is Rachelanne Vander Werf @raevanderwerf, a state Water Scientist! Rae is a trustee of the local flood control board and a scientist who works on safe drinking water, flood control issues, and water resources management. Hear her tmw!

Our joint flood fight exercise with the @CA_DWR included deployment of the Corps’ Deployable Tactical Operations System, or DTOS, which allows the Corps to integrate with local, state, and federal entities during emergency operations anywhere in the country.

Five years. An entire generation of children has lived all or most of their lives without access to clean, safe water. Activists like @LittleMissFlint have been fighting tirelessly for Flint—but we must do better to ensure no community ever faces a crisis like this ever again.
