"the birds are telling us something" @woodlandbirder. Something that sadly the butterflies of Monks Wood told us decades earlier. This ancient woodland in Cambs is central to the study of UK's butterflies. 1/3 https://t.co/q55ztruLcA

The dramatic decline of marsh tits in an ancient Cambridgeshire woodland is a story repeated across the UK as human activity drives species towards extinction

From the New England lobster fishery, this is a gear owners tag found ashore in Orkney yesterday. A little research on the industry pages on social media tells me that Doug is from Scituate Harbour in Massachusetts, between Boston & Cape Cod

@undertheraedar @natlibscotmaps I love the Roy maps so much! They were one of the main sources used to create the Scottish Ancient Woodland Inventory, and it's great to explore them on @natlibscotmaps. @drrachelhewitt wrote a fascinating book Map of a Nation about Roy and the early Ordnance Survey: recommended.

Just heard people on the state pension AND NOTHING ELSE, i.e just over ยฃ200 per week are likely to pay income tax from next April thanks to the Governmentโ€™s stealth tax of freezing basic tax allowance for 6 years. Appalling! Please retweet to all you know.

Conifers play a vital role in tackling rising global temperatures, capturing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Over a third of conifer species are now endangered. Our work protecting conifers can help restore the forests we all rely on. Donate today๐Ÿ‘‰ https://t.co/4pp9WTCOWT

Oh this is so familiar from when my SEN daughter was in her teens. The self isolation and lack of self care, the paper work and the fight for every step, but sadly the joke about doing it 'forever' feels all too real. Keep them coming.

A view over the harbour at Macduff, on the north Aberdeenshire coast. A harbour was built here in 1760, though at that time the village was called Doune. It became Macduff in 1783: the family name of the laird, Lord Fife, was Duff. More pics and info: https://t.co/vu87CoiZEl
