@RT_com Yes, they have. A colony is part of an Empire and Russia had one of the biggest Empires ever. Possibly what they mean is Russia didn't taken part in hostile colonisation, but Russia's Empire expanded all the way from Muscovy to the Pacific coast. It was driven by the fur trade

@RT_com Poland was basically a Russian colony when I worked there in the late 70s. And the other East European countries (with the exception of Yugoslavia) were much the same.
