“there are four fundamental forces in physics…” ? that’s like saying “there are 389 pencil sharpeners in london”… but less informative than that.

“how did you get the range 30:1 and 1:30 for the ratio?” well, don’t start by ‘taking the average’… as that misses the point (!)…

“why did the price change?” favoured ‘boss question’ - you’d have to ‘call up all brokers’ to ask… as if they’d know. like ‘post match analysis’ - pointless.

“fritz, a football fan and trainee car mechanic from a vocational school in bremen…” society doesn’t want/need ‘half thought to them/ half thought out’ like fritz: just get ‘a new’ car instead of accommodating tinkers.

every other penny in the pound ‘spent at the supermarket’ goes into pockets of militarists (disguised as charitable donations)… or ‘to sponsor’ salaries of people like “comedian”…

“when did the roman empire fall?” it hasn’t; their ‘bankers’ (the thems) are still around issuing their shares and bonds… interest rates. ‘romans’ merely ‘shifted northwards’…

‘militarisation’ - as is happening across the continent - is justification for invasion… let’s be clear.

pumping water vertically to feed these towers means water won’t become available laterally; a tower in surbiton means no water across long ditton… or massachusetts. watertable depletion.

when overend issued ‘£50 share certificates/£15 paid,’ brokers would’ve marketed it as ‘a quick way to make a high return’… as ‘10% change on £50’ is ‘33% change on £15 paid’… but then overend went bankrupt… and they owed a further £35 instead.

overend, gurney & co. ltd ‘£50 share certificate/£15 paid up’ - famous bill discounters from the day. the sons ‘went into shares’ then got into trouble… then ‘issued their own shares for cash’ ahead of bankruptcy…

‘insurance companies’ - they’ve been ‘dividing by 10’ for ‘marginal reserve’ calculations, when it should be ‘multiplying by 100’…

“insurance companies used to be conservative: if they took $1bn in premiums, they’d have to reserve $100m for payouts…” if they’d taken $1bn in premiums, then they’d have to have $100bn ‘in reserve at the margin’ actually… assuming ‘1% probability’ say…
