RTTL selected the growth tip of the symbolic tree as our logo to represent the growth and coexistence of European Christianity and Paganism, as an organization that welcomes all positive European religion.

One motif found represented on three of the five tapestries is thought to depict Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life from Norse mythology.

The tapestries include imagery of both Pagan and Christian origin, reflective of a time when the religions coexisted and blended following Christianity's introduction to the Vikings.

These tapestries dating back to the late Viking Age were discovered during the 1909 renovation of a church in Härjedalen, Sweden.

A lot of folks have asked us about the meaning and origin of RTTL's logo. The logo was inspired by the Överhogdal tapestries.
