Great new epidemiological work from a stellar team.

A very important thread describing results from just released @RANDCorporation analysis on how suicide rates among veterans compare to their civilian counterparts.
It's been reported that US veterans have age/sex adjusted suicide rates 60% greater than nonvets. Our @JAMAnetworkopen piece confirms this, but shows that vets' suicide rates are only 10% greater than nonvets of the same age and sex. Can both be true? 🧵.
