Thanks to @MoCommissioner and @GovParsonMO for their hard work on increasing our teacher pool. We need good leadership right now as we struggle to find and keep outstanding educators.

This is a start, but we need so much more. The shortage is critical and only getting worse. First, we all need to champion the beauty of being an educator. We must exude a love for our profession. More funding for competitive pay won't hurt either.
MO Dept of Elem and Sec Ed @MoEducation announces that in order to help alleviate the potential shortage of substitute teachers Gov Parson approved their request to temporarily waive state statutes that limit the number of hours worked and salary earned by retirees. @MASALeaders

The staff @RaytownSchools is on my mind this morning. This has been a rough 20 months now and this year seems to be the hardest. I am so impressed with your dedication and persistence even when it is hard. You love our kids and it shows. Thanks for your dedication Raytown staff!
