We’re committed to keeping Rhode Islanders safe, especially those experiencing homelessness during the coldest months. Today, we launched the next phase of our winter response plan, expanding shelter capacity and other support through partnerships with providers and communities.

We were in attendance yesterday to mark the beginning of work on Walker Lofts in Lincoln, the rehabilitation of the historic, blighted Sayles Company Dye House into 126 new housing units, 32 of which will be affordable.

Innovative. Affordable. Bold. ✔️ The Walker Lofts development will transform the historic Sayles Company Dye House in Lincoln into 124 new units for Rhode Islanders to call home. We’ll continue making smart investments to meet our goal of permitting 15,000 new units by 2030.

This morning, we joined partners to break ground on Walker Lofts in Lincoln — which will transform the vacant Sayles Company Dye House into 100+ homes for Rhode Islanders while preserving a piece of RI’s industrial history. Thank you to all who are making this project possible!

Great to attend today's @housingworksri 2025 Fact Book presentation. Working with @RIEOHousing, we've made $2.8 million in grants available to communities across RI to support the development of affordable housing. Doing our part to address RI's affordable housing challenge.

Last week, we joined @CrossroadsRI to celebrate the opening of Summer Street Apts. — 176 Permanent Supportive Housing units for formerly homeless RIers. The McKee Administration proudly invested ~$18M in this project & remains committed to expanding safe, stable housing for all!

Today we joined @GovDanMcKee, @PVDMayor, @1_neighborhood, state leaders, & housing partners for the ceremonial signing of 6 bills that will strengthen housing efforts statewide— helping us achieve our Housing 2030 goals and ensure RI is a place all can call home. 🏡✍️
