you gotta love how people will unironically make images like this and act like anything that isnt super gritty and dark is bad. Just because a setting has themes and tone doesn't mean we cannot explore other tones and themes, especially with a verse that's a kitchen sink.

This is part of why GW's treatment of the Sisters of Silence frustrates me so much. We could have had female Custodes, but someone decided the Sisters were good enough. Then they proceed to not actually do much of anything with Sisters outside of using them as chaff units.

In December 2022 we announced Games Workshop and Amazon Studios had signed an agreement in principle to bring Warhammer 40,000 to screens big and small.
Today we have an update: we’ve now signed the full agreement and the next stage can begin!

GW continues to want to have their cake and eat it too with 40k. They seem to want to court a more diverse audience, but it rings very hollow if they can't even handle saying the words "female" and "space marine" in the same sentence...
But of a roundabout way to say "female Space Marine" by GW.
Good work by the person who painted that mini. White armour can be a real pain to nail and they did a good job.
