Because the Ultimate Universe is all about not having the originators of the identities being the ones in the role in the new universe?.
Ultimate Wolverine really derailed the momentum and world building of multiple other authors because one white man couldn’t imagine anyone else as Wolverine besides Logan.

Yeah, and the fact that they no longer have the Chinese box office to bolster the numbers is probably a factor too. .
The fact that marvel made so many bad movies the past few years that the genuinely good movies like Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts are struggling to beat them out at the box office is wild to me. .

The thing about this issue is that Morrison uses it not to glaze themselves, but instead to acknowledge their own limitations as a writer along with talking honestly about the craft. It's not just interesting because it's "meta," it's interesting because it gets into the craft.
Morrisson's Animal Man is breathtaking. A metacommentary on the tragic destiny of "people" who live in a broken, panelled world and yet share all of our struggles. We see this majorly through the lens of Buddy's anguish with the several predatory systems behind animals.

It's almost as if the dominant force online are a bunch of performative losers who only hate on stuff for internet clout because they are just miserable people unhappy they're no longer 12 and need to make it everyone else's problem.
Taika's loss of goodwill with audiences should be studied. Bc it's still crazy that acting in a SHAWN LEVY picture and directing a bad Thor movie made people completely forget that he made 2 near-masterpieces and a cult classic comedy before he even touched the MCU.

Wasn’t the entire point of the film was that Beetlejuice *wasn’t* a good guy, regardless of what he went through?.
more than a few times i've seen people theorize that beetlejuice knew that he was breaking code 699 all along and was just giving lydia a break here, but idk i'm not sot so sure about that.

It’s yellow and blue and everyone loved it and it is incredibly pathetic and sad that miserable people like you have to performatively hate things to feel important online.
why do people insist on adding Wolverine and/or daredevil to this 😭😭 they are very far from being classic or comic accurate.
