We had the lovely Katie join us from @SchoolinaBag1 in Community Club this week. The children listened contently and asked lots of questions. We can't wait to start fundraising to help other school communities around the world. Thank you Katie for sharing your enthusiasm with us.

We held a bake sale to raise awareness for Road Safety Week and to raise funds for the important work that @Brakecharity do. We raised a fantastic £63.23! So proud of our school community coming together to support charities. @Pawlettprimary

Buzzard Class created some Remembrance artwork for our local Royal British Legion branch. Over the weekend the artwork was on display at St John the Baptist Church during their Remembrance service. @Pawlettprimary

To celebrate #CycleToSchoolWeek , Eco Club talked about the benefits of cycling. "I enjoy cycling to school because it feels relaxing and I feel happy" "We all like going on bikes and scooters and having fun in the fresh air" 🥰 @Pawlettprimary

We became Nature Detectives in Eco Club and explored the school grounds, identifying what different trees, insects and wildlife we could find. Then we made our own nature bracelets, aren't they wonderful? @Pawlettprimary @EcoSchools

In this weeks Eco Club we made bird feeders. There was butter and seeds everywhere but lots of fun was had - and lots of well fed birds! @Pawlettprimary @EcoSchools

Eco Club was full of excitement yesterday! We put on our gardening gloves, cleared Kestrel Class flower bed of weeds and leaves, spread some wildflower seeds, restocked our Bug Hotel and then put our garden waste in the compost bin. Fabulous job, busy bees! @Pawlettprimary

It was the village Spring Bulb Show at the weekend and every child at @Pawlettprimary entered an Easter card, a picture of a daffodil or a tube snake. It's so important to us to be involved in these local community events. Well done everybody!

Our year 5 and 6 children have written beautiful Christmas letters as part of the Community Senior Letters initiative, connecting Primary Schools with care homes, enabling students to write heartfelt letters to elderly residents to uplift their spirits. 🎄❤️@Pawlettprimary

Thank you to the lovely Community Champion, Evian, from Highbridge @asda for donating a Christmas tree to @Pawlettprimary . We are so grateful! It's now pride of place in our office foyer for everyone to enjoy.

Buzzard Class took part in a Railway Safety Awareness Assembly presented by a representative of @networkrail. The children learnt three important messages: 1. Stay off the tracks. 2. Stand behind the yellow line. 3. Stop, look and listen. @Pawlettprimary

I joined Buzzard Class on their enrichment activity yesterday with @wiseupteam. It was challenging, interesting and, most importantly, great fun! @Pawlettprimary

We love a bit of DT during lunch time! The children worked as a team to measure and assemble their wood to make a birdhouse. Tomorrow we will attach a hinged roof and find the perfect home for our new bird box 🐦 @Pawlettprimary @EcoSchools

Community Club last term was all about giving back to our local community. We litter picked at the Pawlett Pavilion, VE flags for our local @PoppyLegion , community flowers for our school and finished off with a beautiful hanging display for our local church😊 @Pawlettprimary
