Listen to the mustn'ts, child.
Listen to the don'ts.
Listen to the shouldn'ts, the impossibles, the won'ts.
Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me...
Anything can happen child.
Anything can be.
I’m the only North Indian in my team and let me tell you guys it’s f*cking frustrating when everybody else just starts talking in their native language without any consideration for others(here-ME).
Remember when we were asked what we wanted to be when we grow up and answers like 'doctor', 'astronaut', 'superman' came to mind?
But, all we wanted to be was heroes. In some form of the other! To have the power to save this world!

Bengaluru what is wrong with you?
I have been trying to book a cab since 45 mins now; suffered 3 cancellations
I swear I’m 👌🏻this close to stop going out in this city altogether

I'm sad for the organisation(s) you guys work at which teach/encourage you to suppress your emotions just so you could "lead a team" rather than let them just flow and own up to all the hard work you put in. Really sad.
Asked my cab driver nicely to stop for 2 mins on the way as I had to get some essentials. He refused saying he is getting late to reach his home. Now we’re in line since 10 mins for him to get CNG top-up in his car. 😐

Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri
What a beautiful book! All I want to do is take her words and clasp them in my hands and carry them with me everywhere I go 😭
PLEASE. READ. THIS. BOOK.
Watched ‘The Pale Blue Eye’ last night on Netflix!
Brilliant performance by Christian Bale as a lonely miserable detective Augustus Landor along with Harry Melling as a young Egdar Allan Poe.
Biased towards murder mysteries, I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Finished watching The Indrani Mukerjea story on Netflix yesterday and it’s safe to say that any benefit of doubt I had towards Indrani in my mind has poof, vanished! So messed up 🫠🫠

Anyhow. I will listen, I really will listen.
Just talk, okay?
I am not ashamed to admit it, I was yesterday years old when I watched Inception for the first time in one go and was absolutely blown by it. Beautiful movie sir Nolan what did you do!? 😭
When Murakami said—“I have a million things to talk to you about. All I want in this world is you. I want to see you and talk. I want the two of us to begin everything from the beginning.”
I really felt that.
following me for a follow back and then unfollowing me days later after I’ve followed you is peak NEECH behaviour i hope you never get past 100 followers gth
Read 13 so far. The one that stood out was 'Educated' by Tara Westover. It's an inspiring account of the author and her sheer determination to educate herself against her family & entire belief system. It moved me deeply.

- Although several of us don’t keep a count, but if you do, how many books have you read so far this year? Also, ONE book that truly stood out and why.

As a North Indian, Ive faced MULTIPLE situations where ppl hv switched to their native language in bw convos w/o any basic courtesy; Instd. of being defensive, u can politely ask sm1 to switch back to the language u are ok having a dialogue in.
I usually keep a book wishlist on Goodreads. Apart from that, I keep writing the names here & there and then forget about it or lose it! Yes, friends get a list around my birthday every year 😂.

- Do you have a book wish list? Do you share it with people in the hope they will get something… or is it just for yourself to keep a track of what you want?
If a woman is depressed there are three possible causes: her man is gay, or she doesn’t have one, or she wants a baby.
Depression in women is primarily caused by narcissism. Being with a real man and having a baby usually shatters that narcissism to smithereens.

My last book was Malice by Keigo Higashino. Given his writing, I thought I knew what to expect & tbh I was bored halfway. But I was wrong, it's one of the most unexpected reads and in some ways, brilliant writing.
