since I wrote a novella in the comments I'll just summarize w/ this. everyone is capable of finding their own sound. its just a function of:. (Musical Influences + Personal Taste) x Time. its important to copy to learn but equally as important to adapt it to forge your own path.
i hate this mindset and verbiage bc it suggests most people can find a signature sound if they work hard enough (i disagree) and i also hate it because edits and bootlegs and tutorials and recreating sounds is how a lotta people learn and get better 🥹 @QuannumLogic.

Fun fact: I literally won awards for how meticulously dressed the custom audio racks I used to fabricate for clients were (pic below was my fave). Yet my personal studio looks like somebody puked cables into the back of some patchbays while drunk on pruno 🤷♂️
Cables are good. It feels good to involve cables when you make music. It is not necessary, but it is one of the good things in life.

@FrequencyRifter It’s not lazy it’s just my aim to stay more consistent with putting out music. Skrillex literally just put out a whole album of 1 drops I don’t see the issue here everyone is just gonna copy him anyways.

This trip to DC has been a weird snapshot at life now and then. I’m at a dnb party in Baltimore at a warehouse we used to illegally rave at in the early 00’s but like now everyone’s old and the ravers run a legit successful distillery out of the same warehouse 😂
