Our Project Manager Kate led a winter pruning session in partnership with @SFarm_GardenCym a few weeks agoβοΈ . This was the final in a series of free Orchard Leader trainings we delivered to groups based in Powys, Wales. We've enjoyed helping these budding orchardists bloom!

Healthy fruit starts with healthy soil π± Here's a simple + effective way to naturally boost #SoilHealth in your orchard to mark #WorldSoilDay π. Method: add a layer of plain cardboard around your tree, leaving a small gap round the trunk. Top with woodchip mulch.

Swansea project manager Witchhazel worked with students at @GowerCollegeSwa to create this dead hedge - an inaccurate description for something usually teeming with life! Itβs a perfect hideaway for birds, small mammals & insects, who love the crevices and slowly rotting wood π
