I don’t think people understand that this is exactly why prediction markets can’t offer many bets. How on earth can a market maker hang a 3-leg parlay if someone is court-siding? Sportsbooks simply limit people who do this; but it’s illegal to discriminate on a CFTC exchange.

Man, you have to do crazy mental gymnastics to read through the relevant sections of the Commodity Exchange Act as revised after Dodd-Frank and say to yourself “well clearly they were trying to open the door for the CFTC to regulate 5-legged WNBA parlays at the federal level.”
If Kalshi's markets are gambling then so is trading oil futures or hedging jet fuel. States tried the same argument a century ago and Congress was emphatic. We will keep filing amicus briefs supporting @Kalshi all the way up to SCOTUS if we must.
