Yesterday was a busy but pleasurable morning for our volunteers, who showed around 80 pupils and staff from @stgilesacademy around Pontefract Town Hall giving an insight to to its history, uses and connections to Lord Nelson. #trafalgarday #justice #government and much more.

It was great to take you back in time.
Moving on through the ages from our trip to the castle last week, LKS2 had a tour of the Town Hall. We looked at the old magistrates court, discussed its use during the past in Pontefract & visited the holding cells underneath too - So many facts! Thank you @PontefractCivic 🧑‍⚖️
