83 years ago today my dad was released from the unimaginable brutality of the Siberian Gulags of eastern Siberia. It would be several months before he was able to leave to find the Polish Army that was being forming in Russia. @PLinManchester @KresyFamily @KresySiberia

I helped with a commemoration of 100yrs of the aircraft manufacturer Avro at Woodford it also celebrated all the aviation from around Manchester I was pleased to include a storyboard about Polish pilots that flew aircraft with a Manchester connection @PLinManchester @britishpoles

My dad was released from the Siberian Gulags of Kolyma 82yrs ago tomorrow but he still wasn’t free his document validity was extended to 1 Aug 1942 He was on a photo of a group of Poles probably in July. @PLinManchester @britishpoles @Anna_M_Anders @KresySiberia @KresyFamily

@ArkadyRzegocki I had the pleasure of knowing another Strzelecki. He was Henryk Strzelecki MBE born in Toruń but lived in Manchester former Polish 2 Corps, sportswear & fashion designer better known by his brand name of Henri Lloyd. RIP @Anna_M_Anders @PLinManchester @ipngovpl_eng @britishpoles

Me and my dad almost 80 years apart. Thanks to Maj Alan Taberner of the Medical Living History Group. The converted ammo to medical box in the Willy’s Jeep is based on those used by the Polish 2nd Corps. @militaryhistori @WeHaveWaysPod
