Last week #CPE along with the Clinton, CT Police Department released our findings for Clinton's Justice Navigator Assessment. We appreciate all the community members who braved the hazardous air conditions to attend the public meeting as well as the partnership of Chief DeMaio.

We agree @JG4Justice 💯 . Click to better understand why badges, guns, harsh discipline, & surveillance in schools do not make them safer, & can fuel the school-to-prison pipeline & disproportionately harm Black, Latinx, Indigenous, & LGBTQ+ students 👉

June marks #Pride & National Gun Violence Awareness Month. We at CPE acknowledge the insidious connection between anti-LGBTQ+ bias & gun violence. All people deserve to be safe from the type of brutality experienced at Pulse, no matter their gender identity or sexual orientation.

#MondayMotivation This kind of organizing is what democracy looks like. The community members, organizers, and clergy in Atlanta are demanding their officials reimagine public safety and invest in community.

HAPPENING NOW: Educators, parents, and community members have all joined today in protest of the state’s hostile takeover of Houston ISD. We will not let out-of-town officials override our elections and deepen inequalities among our students.
