Had this shirt in the 90s. I was wearing it in a diner in North Jersey and as I was walking out an elderly couple stopped me. They asked me what my shirt "meant" and I told them it was a Bob Dylan song. They told me that the shirt was offensive, the only person to trust is God.

I listened to "Murder Most Foul" for the first time in a few weeks. While it is not my favorite song off RARW it is truly ASTOUNDING how that song plays with time--at 17 minutes it just flies by and always ends before I expect it to. It never wears out its welcome.

I would watch MST3K in the 90s every week. My Dad would catch glimpses of it, baffled at what it was and why I was laughing.
Then in the MAROONED episode they made an insurance joke (he worked in insurance) and he roared. That’s all it took for him to “get” the show.

31 years ago today, I scored last minute tickets to the 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration. There wasn't even time for the tix to be mailed, we had to stop at a clothing store a few blocks away from MSG managed by a friend of a friend who left the tix in an envelope for us.

How Bob manages to turn the genial, funny “Masterpiece” into something filled with menace and portent is simply astonishing to me. This sounds like something that could have fit quite smoothly onto RARW.
Also, the woman screaming at the beginning should forever be included.
This new When I Paint My Masterpiece, with the “Play something we know!” shout just before—If you listen carefully you can just hear Bob Dylan say “I don't believe you”, before he turns and gives a quick glance to Tony, then “Play it fucking different!”

I want Stephen Rea as 1997 Bob who is dismissed by critics, has a near fatal heart ailment, then rallies to create one of the greatest albums of his career. It ends with a ghostly Buddy Holly giving Bob a thumbs up at the Grammys. MIND OUT OF TIME, coming this October!

Imagine being an artist with HIGHWAY 61, BLOOD ON THE TRACKS, and TIME OUT OF MIND on your resume. That's a career by itself. Then imagine being able to go out on a multi-date tour, play virtually nothing from those albums, and still be able to deliver satisfying live shows.
