Excited this is finally out! A fun project with great colleagues @PleaseBugMe @drjparrott @kerogens101 and others at @tamuentomology @TAMU Investigating miRNAs as markers for development in a blow fly @Insects_MDPI

Blow fly development is important in decomposition ecology, agriculture, and forensics. Much of the impact of these species is from immature samples, thus knowledge of their development is important...

Just met one of the two physicians in rural Tyler County. She says that her next available appointment isn't until October. This community deserves a governor who partners with them by expanding Medicaid, prioritizing rural health care, and ensuring more Texans can see a doctor.

New paper out! Most of my PhD was focused on the unraveling the genomics of mimicry but in this one we looked at the forces that shape the evolutionary processes. Lots of cool interdisciplinary analyses! Please RT!
Assessing a bumble bee hybrid zone, @bezray2, @SarthokR, & @Hines_Lab found a geographical discordance between mtDNA & nuclear DNA for mimicry color, which suggests influence from mimetic selection, dominance effects, & assortative mating. In @Ecol_Evol: https://t.co/lTKeXTEaTC
