Bluedot is an annual festival of music, science, art, culture and space exploration. @Katayune and 10 member volunteers spent 3 days there this year engaging visitors with chemistry themed hook-a-duck, homemade water filtration systems, and UV body paint.

There’s an insane reusable cup policy at @bluedotfestival this year. £2 deposit for your cup and when you return your cup you get a token which can only be exchanged for…. another cup?? That they don’t want you to take home???? No way to get the deposit back, so £8 a pint 😬😬.

It was wonderful to be part of the RSC team that broke an official Guinness World Record last year! Glad to see we made it into the 2023 edition!
Great to see our @GWR lemon battery world record is in the 2023 book. With the @RoySocChem team & @Frans_facts, we squeezed 2,307 V from 2,900+ lemons. This followed our previous world record at my @Ri_Science #XmasLectures. Short zesty video is here:
