Visualising complex molecules, a really unique way to help research!. It's much easier to imagine mechanisms and 3D shapes when you can look at and hold a physical model of the structure!. This is a model of the Zeolite FAU I modelled and printed for a PHD student in @MFCIC 😃

The filament produced was fully recycled - using rPLA feedstock from recycled coffee cup lids, and wound on a recycled cardboard spool - and printed wonderfully on the Banks Group's @Prusa3D Mk3S+. Here's a very brief overview of the process!. @josefprusa @PrintCityMMU

1/2. We turned @ManMetUni 's John Dalton Building into recycled 3D-printer filament!. Taking a sample of demolition waste from JD, and turning it into a printable recycled PLA filament was a really interesting project.
