It's an honour to receive this award and I'm looking forward to sharing my PhD work in my prize lecture at this year's @RSC_MASC meeting in York. I can't thank my lab mates in the @GoldupLab and @sgoldup for the support over the years. This is equally their award as it is mine.
We are delighted to announce that the 2024 RSC MASC Group PhD Thesis Award given in memory of John Fossey is awarded to Peter Gallagher @PeterrGallagher from the University of Birmingham. Peter works in the group of @sgoldup .Many congratulations!.

He not only taught me so much in how to be a great chemist, but as a man devoted to both science and family, he was also taught me so much in how to be a great father. It's not just me, William misses his Uncle Abed too 😔

The lab isn't the same without him but I couldn't be happier for Abed starting his independent career as Assistant Professor at @BarIlanU 🎉.
🥳 to Dr Abed Saady (@e_saady) who has joined @BarIlanU as Assistant Professor! He will be missed 😭 but we wish him every success as a #NewPI and expect great things - Abed won the inaugural Wunderbar! award having had articles accepted in @J_A_C_S (2!) & @angew_chem in 2 weeks!
