One thing I've noticed with the passing of Hulk Hogan is a generational divide. I'm not sure anyone under 40 understands how big a star he was from 1985-1988 and how recognizable he was to the general public. A household celebrity in a way very few athletes are today.

@Ruth_Mensch Yes. In November 2023, I did not think that intent was clear. But I also argued that the question of whether it was or wasn't had no policy implications because starving/terror bombing civilians in service of regime change is no more permissible than doing so as an end in itself.
