Some good news here, for those of us who read regularly anyway ☺️ In the UK, the average number of books read per year is skewed by the people who read a lot. But 40% don’t read a single book. There are so many great books to read and it’s Christmas soon..
Reading books 30+ minutes a day was linked to a 20% lower mortality over 12 years The survival benefit was significantly stronger for books than newspapers/magazines (and appeared to be mediated by cognitive engagement)
