Our latest publication shows substantial receipt of PDS cereals or cash. But, urban residents were eight percentage points less likely to receive cash than rural residents. We also find heterogeneity in such transfers across livelihoods @SonaldeDesai
Paper by @ncaer faculty @pallavi_econ & @SonaldeDesai, w/ @Santanu_LEAD , shows substantial receipt of PDS rations or cash during pandemic in Delhi Metro Area, but less in urban than surrounding rural areas, suggesting need for better urban safety nets.

Invited to express my views on the need for data harmonization & integration of survey & non-survey data at the Niti Aayog-State Workshop series. Successful policy interventions require harmonization across data sources & within various rounds of each source @SonaldeDesai @NCAER
