No. Elections with no common polity & no common language would be far less democratic than the current flawed system of commsioners appointed by democratic governments.
The EU Commission should be disbanded in favor of an elected body and the EU President should be directly elected. The current system is rule by bureaucracy, not democracy.

@elonmusk The EU President shouldn't be directly elected because it would lend them an air of legitimacy. There is no European "demos" so there can be no meaningful European democracy; a Frenchman has little knowledge of politics in Lithuania and could never *really* represent it globally.
