Great to see a new £650m grant being launched today to make electric vehicles more affordable. Tackling emissions via petrol/diesel will be essential to meet our climate targets. Electric vehicles will help play a key role in doing just that.

Baffling to think a local council was against this. Put aside the positives from increased footfall, support for local business + the knock on positive effects, but also cleaner air and safer roads. Reclaim the public commons to increase pedestrian friendly areas + we all win.
Incredible the council wanted to stop this because they'd lose on street car parking revenue. Mental.

The same tired lines from DUP politicians on a bonfire that is a significant risk to health and safety. I see community groups celebrate the 12th July safely and respectfully each year. What is happening in South Belfast is a threat to human life and common sense must prevail.
