Starting this thread to share funding/grant opportunities as it comes my way, including awards for research, conference travel, and trainings. It'll mostly be for biological sciences, but I might be biased towards Botany/Plant Sciences, Evolutionary Biology, & US opportunities.

Solid advise!!! It also applies to anywhere abroad, if you're there legally. If you won't be returning to Nigeria in 20, 30 years, don't bother investing in Nigeria. Invest where you are and watch how you'll get value for your investment!
You have these options - Stay in the UK. But if you chose to stay. Start a family business or else your kids will enter the depressing rat race and your greener pastures race will make no sense. If you chose to stay in the UK. Stop building houses in Nigeria. Stop investing
