Online survey about children’s human rights in Children’s Social Care. We’re saying the most fundamental human right of a child to be with their mum is breached every time a child goes into “care”, is adopted or forced to live with an abusive father.

This is really shocking: 1/3 of mums who died during,or in the year after pregnancy were known to children’s social care & almost 2/3 of women who died had experienced domestic abuse before or during pregnancy. They needed support, but got punished instead

Today outside Philadelphia Dept of Human Services our sisters demand implementation of recommendations from 2022 City Council Special Ctte on Child Separations, including: Poverty is NOT neglect; Open Family Court; No removing children from domestic violence survivors.

Over 80% of children’s homes are run privately for huge profits, 25% of all foster placements in England are also privatised. Our children must not be used to make money this way!

Sign this petition against the Children’s Wellbeing & Schools Bill which would increase state monitoring by introducing a “consistent identifier” (a number) for each child from birth – as if children belong to the state not with their mother & families.

We’ve joined calls for the immediate withdrawal of Fabricated Induced Illness (FII) label & associated guidance because it is junk science.Protective mums get falsely accused when we ask for help & face the injustice & heart break of children being taken.

BBC report noted that of 1400 children who were raped/abused in Rotherham: “One third were known to children’s services because of child protection & neglect”. How many were actually in "care"? At best Social Services did nothing to protect the children, at worst were complicit.

It's a relief to see coverage which is respectful & acknowledges Constance Marten's pain, when most press coverage is sensational & nasty. If Constance had been offered support by social services rather than the forced removal of her baby, Victoria would likely be alive today.

We are devastated by the guilty verdicts in Constance Marten’s trial. This is a gross miscarriage of justice: the jury was not allowed to know about the injustices Ms Marten faced when her children were removed by the family court. See our Press Release

Parliament's Education Committee Children's Social Care Report:"we heard some concerns about children being taken into care on the grounds of poverty, defined as neglect ". Our evidence said: #povertyisnotneglect. Take away our poverty NOT our children.

We agree - the government MUST apologise for historic forced adoptions; and it MUST stop current forced adoptions which continue to cause lifelong trauma to mums & children. We'll be in Parliament Square to support MAA on Wednesday.
