A point to be made is that when white Europeans united to end slavery, they were acting against a world where slavery was both widespread and uncontroversial. They were true revolutionaries who get little credit for the good they brought to the world.
If you enjoy not being a slave, thank a white European. Every culture on earth had slaves before and after white people. White people ended the practice worldwide, occasionally by force.
