2 years ago I went to #Antarctica with #teamHB4 of @HomewardBound16. I will never forget the BREATHTAKING BEAUTY and the SILENCE, only broken by the sound of waves, friendly animal life or crackling icebergs. This is one of my favourite photos that I called “leap of faith”🐧❄️

Delighted to have contributed to this study with @rodcarlessi & the Liver Cancer Collaborative, led by Michael Karin (UCSD). ✨ Our research uncovers how FBP1 suppression via hypermethylation + a metabolic switch drive the evolution of HCC in MASH ✨.

ARC & NHMRC released grant outcomes. There will be a lot of people who could really do with a hug today. I am feeling for the many brilliant researchers that will miss out in a 10% success system with no accountability for scores & comments. We must do better 😔 #BringPanelsBack

Just saw de-identified feedback for Investigator Grants &am appalled by the lack of effort in some reviews-generic comments, barely any substance. Careers+lives depend on peer review with ZERO accountability. Applicants deserve better! @nhmrc BRING PANELS BACK! #ResearchIntegrity
