The @NRA has fooled a large section of the country into thinking that gun ownership is connected to “freedom.” Want to know what real freedom is? Being able to send your kids to school WITHOUT the existential fear they will be murdered by an assault weapon.

Before you ever teach an algorithm or shortcuts, you have to teach the concept. Base 10 blocks are great for visualizing what division actually means. The algorithm is just a record of our steps. That comes last! #issedu #thisisDAIS #DAIS5grows

Just a few photos from our first trip to the school library. It’s been a long time since these kids could just chill and read together. #sfbrandeis @sfbrandeis
