I can attest that this is absolutely true.
Pete Ricketts ruled Nebraska like a mob boss. If you were a State Senator who didn't vote the way he wanted, he'd spend hundreds of thousands trying to tarnish your name with dishonest mailers & dirty tricks. Let's shake up Washington by replacing a billionaire with a mechanic.

If you’re not from Nebraska, you may think, “Darn! Another moderate Republican gone cause the GOP got so crazy” but that is NOT the takeaway. The takeaway is: “The GOP got crazy yet NOBODY (including Bacon) mounted a serious defense against Trump.” Any pushback was performative

New: I just asked Rep. Don Bacon why he voted for Wednesday's budget blueprint, which in the rules prevents future votes on repealing Trump's tariffs until Sep. He expressed that he “wasn't happy” about the rule maneuver and“stewed on” how he would vote on it.
