Boy, loved him so much.
Gene Hackman has passed away at 95 A Legend and an Icon, Gene was one of the most powerful actors to ever grace the screen. You didn't mess with Hackman. I can't tell you how devastated I am by his passing. This one's hit me hard. RIP Gene Hackman

If you've been scratching your head about the @Jaguar rebrand, have a gander at this. Fascinating. But the killer question is this: if the new look is intended to woo Gen Z, when will they be able to afford a Jag?
Marketing to millennials is all about story telling. Marketing to Get Z is about "vibes". Millennials are interested in the narrative of a product or brand. "Tell me about its background" and "Make this make sense to me - why should I feel a certain way about this?"

Great shout out to @MakeUKCampaigns from @jreynoldsMP. It's encouraging, but the devil will be in the detail, keeping inter-departmental attention focused on a common goal while being tugged in different directions. But great credit to the @biztradegovuk SoS for leading on this.

I rented a $17k lens to photograph the recent starship launch in detail. When I aligned and stitched all the photos I took together, it made a unique video showing the entire event from launch to catch. I hope to ride on Starship one day.

Spruce Pine is a small N Carolina town which provides most of the high purity quartz needed for advanced semiconductors. It's just been struck by Hurricane Helene. Status of quarries/processing plants unclear. As I wrote in Material World, this is a MASSIVELY important place👇

Profoundly important piece of work. In #ukmfg we call for full blown #industrialstrategy, but it would never be truly effective unless these foundational issues are dealt with. A must read.

This adds context to the @MadeSmarterUK and @HVM_Catapult UK Supply Chain Directory which aims to connect the entire #ukmfg supply chain. ALL manufacturers are on it but need to 'claim' and refresh their data. Have a look for yours!
It's widely lamented that #offshoring to cheap suppliers in Asia in recent decades drained a dangerous amount of capacity out of the UK #manufacturing sector. But there's an equally valid case to be made that there's actually a great deal of under-utilised capacity in the UK
