How chaotic did the childcare discussion get? When court resumed, Commissioner @AdrianGarciaHTX apologized to the room saying this isn't the way county government is supposed to be run.

CHILDCARE CHAOS: In what was a wild, loud and disruptive commissioner court discussion, Judge @LinaHidalgoTX saw the writing on the wall that the penny childcare tax was going to fail and left the room. Now, she’s with the kids after calling her colleagues decision baffling.

CHILDCARE PENNY TAX: Judge @LinaHidalgoTX is pushing for taxpayers to keep a free childcare program going. She said it would cost the average homeowner $24/year. We’ll find out soon if commissioners agree to put it on the November ballot.
