Reminded by @gvasselli18 and @Brian_1_2_3 of the occasional epicardial breakthrough across a CTI line. Clear distant lateral activation visualized with ripple mapping. Instantaneous block with ablation at lateral site. @BiosenseWebster #EPeeps

Few years ago we started a journey to build a new model of evidence generation, dissemination and collaboration! This HRS we had 16 abstracts, dozens of collaborators and 100s of handshakes. A new paradigm of collaboration between industry, community and academic docs was born!

This is already becoming common practice in AF ablation as one study from the REAL-AF registry showed, and we should be doing this in VT as well. Focused on doing all AF and VT ablations #fluoroless !

So proud to be part of this movement. The future is #fluoroless and VT is no exception. Honored to share what I’ve learned and learn from others. @HRSonline @MRazminia @DrRoderickTung @netta_doc @KTamirisaMD @srissundaram #EPeeps

Dr Vijayaraman #HRS2023 late breaking trial: #LBBAP vs #CRT. - controlled non-randomized - 1,778 patients (!) - better echo response, better outcomes driven by HF hospitalization reduction - fewer complications

Exceptional study, and practice-changing. With time and technology, rhythm control has now shown benefit for susceptible patients, a departure from AFFIRM data. AF needs attention early! @drrgoyal https://t.co/0O8TmSyiSS

Had the honor of working with Dr. Costa years ago, was occasionally honored to be confused with him by staff. Exceptional colleague and mentor, passing well before his time.

Joe was a wonderful former resident and chief resident, who dedicated his life to caring for the citizens of Baltimore with critical illness. A tragic loss and a great sadness. May the memories of his family, friends and co-workers be for a memory. @UMInternalMed #CoverYourFace

And the safety of our staff! Trained by @DrJCheungEP to always seek an ALARA fluoro level, zero if possible but near-zero otherwise. Solid understanding of fluoro anatomy is ESSENTIAL to minimize its use.

@MRazminia @paulzei @Ed_Gerst @krishmd @MDTolgaAksu @EduardoSaad3 @NoFluoro Near zero fluoro should be the standard part of any EP training program. We owe it to our young trainees and patients to minimize exposure while maintaining safety. Proper mindset and solid ICE skill set are all you need.

Compare this with an estimated 8.4 month survival gain with a primary prevention ICD, based on MADIT II. The ICD is important, but optimized medical therapy is paramount.

How do you communicate the expected lifetime benefits of HF therapies? New data in @TheLancet from 3 RCTs (#EMPHASISHF #PARADIGMHF #DAPAHF) estimate up to *6 years* of survival gains. Combination ARNI+BB+MRA+SGLT2i = new therapeutic standard in HFrEF. 📎 https://t.co/xd23cW9Ovp

This is Roger, the nurse who took care of me in the ICU. My first memories after my arrest are Roger sitting with me for hours just talking with me. Asking me about my life, my family. I’m convinced that this helped me regain normal cognition, forcing me to think and remember.

These successes need to be shared. They’re out there. Treating AF is hard, but with a 360° approach, success can happen.
