Episodio completo: https://t.co/x9BFeSt3Uk

Nice post !
Most people get stuck on appearances. Who sets the price? The store? Then they have the pricing power. What really matters are the economic forces. Theory, experiments, and empirical work all show this https://t.co/g6VvAZ4stj

Let me explain why I believe modern economics is such a powerful tool for understanding the world. I’ll do this by discussing a great paper by Simone Cerreia-Vioglio, @UncertainLars, Fabio Maccheroni, and Massimo Marinacci, “Making Decisions Under Model Misspecification,”

WP Alert! 🚨 Finally! This is one of those papers that I have wanted to write for a long time! Essentially, I combine my passion for historical development and public policy. Can the Ecuadorian agrarian reform partly explain stunting? Link to wp https://t.co/d5ml4PQnZp

On the other hand... You can't stop with any given simple model. You need to know what it was built for and its limits, think beyond it. Have a set of them. Sometimes true that some people work so much with just one model (this or other) and end up mixing it up with reality.

And science it is. Not a long meandering book you puzzle over. The logic is explicit. It makes quantitative predictions. You can see where it fails (it does) and improve it, or reject it. Even when wrong, that's science.
