From the hundreds of books in game programming I read, these are still *the* best. βGame Coding Completeβ especially. Itβs incredibly practical and has taught me so much, I still use many concepts/patterns from it to this day.

I think the decision to revert to the old game engine was quite right; it significantly reduced development time, and the graphics are already very beautiful. And with the modding community, this game will become even more beautiful

With years since the last update, CryEngine seems abandoned by CryTek. Thankfully a community of developers started the open source CryEngine Community Edition, with the 1.0 release today! https://t.co/zXIjeOTxxV

I'm quite sad that O3DE is orienting itself towards simulations rather than a pure engine so in the near future I will proceed to create a pure game engine based on O3DE but still complying with the license

The most buggy issue I think is the O3D engine's gems, as popular game engines integrate all the functionality into the game engine, but this one configures the gems to be more buggy. #indiedev #O3D #gameengine
