We are so very proud of our colleague Mel (Hbop Nurse Specialist) who won 5 medals (including 3 Gold!) at the IISA Ice Swim Championships in Romania. She is European Champion for 100m Breaststroke! A huge achievement 👏🏻👏🏻#IISA #toocoldforsome @NewcastleHosps

Today marks Dr Hanley’s last ever day @NewcastleHosps & quite apt for those who know him, that he is participating in #ConsultantStrike. Yesterday we said our goodbyes.😢 We are ever grateful for all he’s done for patients, families and staff within the Trust. Happy Retirement!

It’s a terrible dilemma. Absolutely support my colleagues in training Yet will try to cover for safety. We have faced such challenges in Terms and Conditions in the past But never so acutely. No responsible govt has ever let it get to this before. I hope that sense prevails.

I'm so concerned about the #NHSCrisis that I wrote to my MP Philip Davies asking him to urge the government to act, particularly on social care. I thought the voters of #Bingley #Saltaire & #Shipley would like to read his response and I do hope they remember it at the next GE.
