@NeuralDevGRC was fantastic: superb talks w/ questions and discussion, easy interactions bet trainees and faculty, special sessions on careers, publishing, jobs, power hour. Claude Desplan and @TheSilverLab's leadership made it one of the best mtgs I've attended *ever*.

Two things I really like about the @NeuralDevGRC talks is that there is a lot of question time (20+10 split) AND there's a concerted decision to take student/postdoc questions first, and let all of them ask before any faculty get the mike :)

Aaaand it's a wrap! Stimulating discussion and strategies emerged. Wonderful partnering with @tollkuhn and thanks to the organizers of @NeuralDevGRC , Claude Desplan and @TheSilverLab for inviting us to do this!
It's begun! Power Hour: Investing in yourself. Breakout groups are discussing A) Building a scientific support network B) Lab "culture" C) What/How we communicate: verbal, non-verbal, Institutional. Watch this space for strategies and take-homes.
