Here's some of what will be happening while we are closed over Christmas⬇️

London Liverpool Street retains 👑 of Britain's busiest station for third year running with over 98 million entrances and exits for the year ending March 2025. 🙌 And Stratford station, just a stones throw away, in 7th place.

The VR headsets are about learning how to be ‘active bystanders’ on the transport network. This means safely supporting people being targeted by unacceptable behaviour and reporting it to the police.

Another job this Christmas is to replace 168 glass panels above the concourse While the concourse roof isn't covered in lichen like the old trainshed roof, we are replacing cracked and broken panels All part of keeping Britain's busiest station running smoothly and safely 9/10

You can see the platforms 7 and 8 scaffolding from the outside in this photo We'll be removing this scaffolding as part of our Christmas works, as we move forward with the project 8/10

We also have some traditional scaffolding, built from the ground up between platforms 7 and 8 The moving platforms wouldn't work in this part of the station because the roof structure would get in the way 7/10

Welcome inside to one of our mobile scaffolding decks, suspended from the roof We've been moving these decks, one section at a time, towards the concourse They allow us to work while the station remains open Again you can see the difference between old and new panels 6/10
