Everyone deserves and should have a right to have enough to live a comfortable life, in a safe home, with the support they need. This should be the bare minimum, especially in a society like ours with the wealth we have.

Reminder that disabled folk can’t just turn their disabilities off for Christmas, or just because you have a get together planned. Facilitate where possible. Understand if they say no. Don’t put pressure on them. But don’t stop inviting them unless they specifically ask you to.

Reminder this Christmas that you might have disabled friends and family members who can’t go out, can’t drink or eat what you are, and might have to cancel last minute or leave early. It’s not because they don’t care, and please do what you can to facilitate & support them.
