To the first point:. In 2020, Biden won nationally by 4.5%, and won MN by 7.2%. MN voted ~2.7% more D than the country. In 2020, Trump will likely end up winning by 1.5% nationally, and Harris won MN by 4.2%. MN voted ~5.7% more D. IOW, MN trended ~3% more D from 2020 -> 2024.
-Harris won MN and we trended D. -Klobuchar won and outran Harris by 11. -Craig won by 13, Morrison by 17 in the most competitive Congressional races. -DFLers held Senate majority. -House Rs flipped three Trump districts to get to a tie. The bar for “successful” is low… #mnleg.

We need to build trust. Not just expect voters to come to us. This means year-round organizing and true back-and-forth communication.
One problem with the DNC is that when the Ds have the WH, the DNC is just an extension of the WH. The DNC must be a 365/50-state Base-Building organization, somewhat insensitive to the latest race, but highly sensitive to educating Americans about Democratic Values.
