Just wanted to take a moment and say thank you for the support to everyone here. Over 3K new X followers in recent months and a great catching community of over 900 now on IG. Helping young catchers is very fulfilling. Excited to share some upcoming projects. Appreciate yāall.

Ray finally returned to form this year after dealing with hamstring issues last year and elbow surgery the year before, posting an impressive 2.93 ERA. While he has been serviceable, Ray's ERA, WOBA, and OPS have jumped post-All-Star break, and Ray might require an IL stint.

Most of the mechanical differences appear to be around his lower body. I believe he may be dealing with an injury to his hips, more specifically his abductors, adductors, or hip flexors. Ray could also have tight or weak glutes, limiting his RoM and lower-half power.

Last, his release and lead leg block have changed. On the right for both release and lead leg block, Ray is more bent over at the hips and his lead leg is more extended when he blocks.

Second, Robbie hinges differently. Take a look at before Ray begins to rotate. On the right, he sinks deeper into his back leg and is bent at the hips slightly more, whereas on the left he does not reach as deep of a position.
