Sick swing from Pirates prospect Esmerlyn Valdez for his third homer already of the AFL. Front door cutter in a full count that he somehow keeps fair. 108 MPH at 49 degrees. Kept carrying until it hit the foul pole.

Perales was impressive as he builds back up from Tommy John surgery. 2 IP, 0 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 4 K—31 pitches, 21 strikes. FB averaged 99.2, topped at 100.7 with life. Cutter looked great, slider feel was understandably a little spotty.

I can’t lie. When the Mariners brought Jorge Polanco back, it felt like settling. Instead, he puts up a 132 wRC+ in the regular season and is unequivocally the reason why they’re going to the ALCS.

Japanese INF Munetaka Murakami is expected to be posted for MLB Teams this winter, per @Feinsand Murakami, 25, has hit 265 HRs over 8 seasons in Japan. He posted a 1.051 OPS and 26 HRs in 69 games this season.
